Castle Rest

"Castle Rest, the first of several "castles" of the Thousand Islands, was a distinctive architectural work of architect Solon Spencer Beman. Designed for George M. Pullman the structure became a landmark feature of tourist steamboat excusions when constructed in 1888. "Castle Rest" on Pullman Island remained in the Pullman-Lowden family until the mid-twentieth century when the main structure was demolished. Ancillary buildings designed by Beman remain on the island.

Keewaydin State Park

Keewaydin State Park is a state park in the Town of Alexandria in Jefferson County, New York in the United States of America. The park is located along the St. Lawrence River, southwest of the Village of Alexandria Bay on New York State Route 12. Open year-round, the park offers a pool and showers, picnic tables, a playground, a campground, fishing and ice fishing, cross-country skiing, and a boat launch.

Maxson Airfield is a privately owned, private-use airport located two nautical miles (4 km) south of the central business district of Alexandria Bay, a village in Jefferson County, New York, United States. This general aviation airport is situated in the Thousand Islands region. It once had commercial service provided by Mohawk Airlines. At that time, the airport bore the IATA airport code AXB. Deer Island (Thousand Islands)

Deer Island is one of the American Thousand Islands. It lies between mainland Canada and United States, within the Saint Lawrence River, in the Town of Alexandria, close to Alexandria Bay, New York. It is owned entirely by the Russell Trust Association and is used as a Skull and Bones retreat. The island lies near Boldt Castle and can be seen up close from several Canadian and U.S. tour vessels that operate in the local waterways.
