Breakabeen, New York

Breakabeen is a hamlet in the town of Fulton in Schoharie County, New York, United States. This hamlet played a role during the American Revolution and is home to a historic cemetery. Breakabeen is one of the hamlets that are situated in the Schoharie Valley. A number of structures in the hamlet are included in the Breakabeen Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.

Blenheim-Gilboa Hydroelectric Power Station

The Blenheim-Gilboa Pumped Storage Power Project is a pumped-storage hydroelectricity plant in the Catskill Mountains of New York State. The plant is part of the New York Power Authority, and can generate over 1,000,000 kilowatts of electricity, all of which is sent to New York City in the case of a power crisis in the city. It is to be used only for emergency situations; i.e. , in case another power plant shuts down, or in case the other power plants can't provide enough electricity.
