Deposit is a village in Broome and Delaware counties in the U.S. state of New York. The population was 1,663 at the 2010 census. The Village of Deposit, on the county line, is partly within the Town of Sanford (Broome County) and the Town of Deposit (Delaware County). The Broome County portion of Deposit is part of the Binghamton Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Hancock (village), New York

Hancock is a village in Delaware County, New York, United States. The population was 1,031 at the 2010 census. The Village of Hancock is in the west part of the Town of Hancock at the junction of NY Routes 17 and 97. Hancock is located at the confluence of the East and West branches of the Delaware River. Hancock owes its former importance mainly to its role as a division point of the Erie Railroad from 1848, especially in the days of steam locomotives.

Point Mountain Mausoleum

Point Mountain Mausoleum (now abandoned) sits at the top of Point Mountain in Hancock, NY (overlooking the Delaware River and neighboring Pennsylvania). It was built as the memorial and final resting spot for Dr. Lester E. Woolsey (1872-1962) in the 1940s to house his remains. The mausoleum lies empty today. Dr. Woolsey was the longtime Delaware County coroner who had practiced medicine in Hancock since 1901. Dr.
