Albion (village), New York

Albion is a village in Orleans County, New York, United States. The population was 6,056 at the 2010 census. The village is centrally located in the county and is partly in both the towns of Albion and Gaines. It is the county seat of Orleans County and is about 30 miles west north-west of the City of Rochester. It is part of the Rochester Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Mount Albion Cemetery

Mount Albion Cemetery is located on New York State Route 31 in the Town of Albion, New York, United States, east of the village of Albion, which owns and operates it. It is a rural cemetery established in the 1840s on a glacial drumlin. From its original 25 acres, it has almost tripled in size. Graves are on terraces in the rolling terrain. Tall trees, including some locally rare species, maintain a parklike atmosphere.

Albion Correctional Facility is a medium security women's prison in Albion, New York, USA that is operated by the New York State Department of Correctional Services. Most famously, Albion housed "Long Island Lolita" Amy Fisher for 3½ years; she was then transferred to the Bedford Hills Correctional Facility for Women, the only maximum security prison for women in New York State and located in Bedford Hills, New York.
