Benjamin N. Cardozo High School

Benjamin N. Cardozo High School is a public high school in Bayside, Queens a borough of New York City, USA. The school is named for Benjamin N. Cardozo, who served as chief judge of the New York Court of Appeals and then as a justice of the U.S. Supreme Court. Like all New York City public schools, Cardozo High School is operated by the New York City Department of Education. It is generally referred to simply as "Cardozo," or just "'dozo" by the students.

Bayside (LIRR station)

Bayside (earlier Bay Side) is a station in the Bayside section of Queens in New York City on the Port Washington Branch of the Long Island Rail Road. The station is located at 213th Street and 41st Avenue, off Bell Boulevard and just north of Northern Boulevard, and is 12.6 miles (20.3 km) from Penn Station in Midtown Manhattan. St. Francis Preparatory School, commonly known as St. Francis Prep, is a private, independent Catholic college preparatory school in the Fresh Meadows neighborhood of the New York City borough of Queens, in the U.S. state of New York. It is the largest non-diocesan Catholic high school in the United States. St. Francis is run by the Franciscan Brothers, who maintain a residence on the top floor of the school.

Queens Giant

The Queens Giant (also known as the Alley Pond Giant or Alley Pond Park Giant) is an old Tulip Poplar (Liriodendron tulipifera) located in Alley Pond Park in the borough of Queens, New York City. It is the tallest carefully measured tree in New York City. It is also probably the oldest living thing in the New York metropolitan area. As of 2005, the tree measures 133.8 feet tall and is probably 350-400 (and possibly as many as 450) years old.
