Medina Railroad Museum

The Medina Railroad Museum is a railroad museum located at 530 West Avenue in Medina, New York, which is northeast of Buffalo and northwest of Rochester. The museum is housed in one of the largest standing wooden freight depots, built in 1905. The museum is open Tuesday through Sunday, 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. Its exhibits feature interactive displays, 6000 artifacts, memorabilia, photos, toys and a model railroad, all relating to the railroads of western New York.

Medina, New York

Medina is a village in the towns of Shelby and Ridgeway in Orleans County, New York, United States. The population was 6,065 at the 2010 census, making it the second most populous municipality in the county after Albion, the county seat. The village was named by its surveyor. It is part of the Rochester Metropolitan Statistical Area. It developed from a stopover on the Erie Canal, which bends as it passes through the village, creating a basin that served as a stopover point.

The cemetery is built on a small hill in an otherwise flat area. Millville, New York

Millville, New York is an unincorporated hamlet in the town of Shelby in Orleans County, New York, USA. First settled in the mid-1810s, Millville grew as a result of the mills located there to tap the abundant water available in the three streams that run through the hamlet. In its early days, before the clearing of the land reduced the volume and regularity of the water volume in the streams, the hamlet could claim three saw mills, a grist mill and a turning mill.

Oak Orchard Creek

Oak Orchard Creek is a tributary of Lake Ontario in Orleans County, New York in the United States. Oak Orchard Creek rises south of Oak Orchard Creek Marsh (also called the Alabama Swamp) at the border of Orleans and Genesee Counties. The swamp contains a state reserve, Oak Orchard Wildlife Management Area, and a national reserve, the Iroquois National Wildlife Refuge, both of which are known as major stopover points for migratory birds.
