Fillmore, New York

Fillmore is a hamlet in Allegany County, New York, United States, named for President Millard Fillmore in 1850. It was originally known as "The Mouth of the Creek". The former Village of Fillmore dissolved its incorporation and became a community in the Town of Hume in the northwest quadrant of the county. The hamlet is also home to the Hungarian Scout Camp which is the main campsite of the Hungarian Scout Association in Exteris.

Portageville, New York

Portageville is a hamlet located in the town of Genesee Falls in Wyoming County, New York. Its name derives from the Native American canoeists who would withdraw their craft from the river to avoid going over three waterfalls in the Genesee River gorge. They had to portage several miles to the site of present day Mount Morris where they could embark for the rest of the journey downriver. Portageville is the only named community in the town of Genesee Falls.
