It is located just south of Piermont and includes part of Piermont Marsh, which is included in the Hudson River National Estuarine Research Reserve. It is part of the Palisades Interstate Park System. The park covers 687 acres and has five miles of hiking trails including a section of the Long Path and the Tallman Mountain Bike Path.

It is almost entirely residential with the exception of a small industrial area section on the Tappan border.
