Sea Level, North Carolina
Sea Level is an unincorporated community in northeastern Carteret County, North Carolina. It rests on the banks of the Core Sound and has a population of roughly 450. It is located in what was known to early settlers as Hunting Quarters. Sea Level has one of the lowest elevations in North Carolina; it is estimated that approximately 75% of the community floods when hurricanes pass through. US 70 is the major thoroughfare through the community.

Core Banks, North Carolina
The Core Banks are barrier islands in North Carolina, part of the Cape Lookout National Seashore. They extend from Ocracoke Inlet to Cape Lookout, and consist of two low relief narrow islands, North Core Banks and South Core Banks, and, since September 2011, two smaller islands. New Drum Inlet, and now Old Drum Inlet, and Ophelia Inlet, separate the islands. They are now uninhabited, although Portsmouth, at the north end of the Core Banks, was once a substantial port.

WFXI is the Fox-affiliated television station for Eastern North Carolina's Inner Banks that is licensed to Morehead City. It broadcasts a high definition digital signal on VHF channel 8 from a transmitter in unincorporated Davis, North Carolina along the South River's East Fork. The station can also be seen on Time Warner Cable channel 8 and Suddenlink channel 9. There is a high definition feed provided on Suddenlink digital channel 109 and Time Warner Cable digital channel 1125.
