J. Iverson Riddle Developmental Center

The J. Iverson Riddle Developmental Center is a state government institution in Morganton, NC. The Riddle Center provides treatment and care for persons with mental retardation. Formerly known as Western Carolina Center, it was renamed for its director, J. Iverson Riddle. Riddle, who served as director for the existence of the institution, resigned effective June 30, 2006. The new director, Art Robarge, began on August 15, 2006.

Grace Hospital is an independent, not-for-profit hospital located in Morganton, Burke County, NC. As of July, 2011 Grace Hospital had 184 patient beds. The hospital anchors Blue Ridge HealthCare's system of healthcare providers that includes other facilities such as Valdese Hospital, Grace Ridge Retirement Community, Grace Heights Health and Rehabilitation Center, College Pines Health and Rehabilitation Center, Phifer Wellness Center and other physician practices.
