Jason, North Carolina

Jason, North Carolina is a small town in eastern North Carolina in Greene County. Incorporated in 1885, Jason is an agricultural based community with town water system and volunteer fire service. Jason is located roughly halfway between Snow Hill and LaGrange on Highway 903. First named Aloc meaning "leave alone" by the Tuscarora Indian tribe, Jason was settled by the Hardy, Mewborn, Aldridge and Kearney families.

Eastern Wayne High School

Eastern Wayne High School (EWHS) is a public high school located in Wayne County, North Carolina, that opened in 1969. In 2010 it was awarded the National Award for School Lunch as the best high school lunch in America. It is classified as a 3-A school with enrollment estimated at 1100 students. The school mascot is the Warrior, and its school colors are navy blue and gold. The school recently received a Silver Medal designation in U.S.

Dobbs County, North Carolina

Dobbs County is a former county located in the state of North Carolina. It was formed in 1758 from Johnston County, though the legislative act that created it did not become effective until April 10, 1759. It was named for Arthur Dobbs, Governor of North Carolina from 1754 to 1765. In 1779 the western part of Dobbs County became Wayne County, and the county seat was moved from its original location on Walnut Creek to the town of Kingston, which was renamed Kinston in 1784.
