Garrison Stadium

Garrison Stadium is a 5,000-seat college football stadium located in Murfreesboro, North Carolina. The stadium has been the home of the Hawks football team of Chowan University since the sixties. Beginning with the 2008 athletic year, the Hawks will compete in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) as a football-only member.

Brady C. Jefcoat Museum

The Brady C. Jefcoat Museum of Americana is a museum in Murfreesboro, North Carolina. Operated by the Murfreesboro Historical Association, the museum houses a collection of American artifacts from the 1850s to the 1950s collected by Brady C. Jefcoat of Raleigh, North Carolina, a local plumber, electrician and general contractor. Parker's Ferry

Parker's Ferry is a cable ferry located on the Meherrin River in Hertford County, North Carolina. The ferry is operated by a contractor for the North Carolina Department of Transportation. The ferry is located in on Parkers Ferry Road at the north end of the Meherrin River & Parkers Fishery Road at the south end of the Meherrin River (Hertford SR 1306). It is one of three remaining cable ferries left in operation in North Carolina. The others are the Sans Souci Ferry and Elwell Ferry.
