Green River (North Carolina)
The Green River is a dam-release river that flows through the mountains of North Carolina, south of Asheville. The Green has numerous tributaries, but much of its water flows from a confluence with Big Hungry Creek. The river is dammed to form Lake Summit, in Tuxedo, North Carolina. The Green River is named for its deep green color, but runs brown after heavy rains.

Camp Ton-A-Wandah
Camp Ton-A-Wandah ("By the fall of water" in Cherokee) is an annual all-girls summer camp located outside of Hendersonville, North Carolina, in the Flat Rock area. The camp is open to girls aged six through 15, for a total of nine weeks each year (three sessions of three weeks each). 16-year-old girls who wish to attend become CITs, and young women aged 17 and up serve as cabin counselors (many of whom come from foreign countries, such as Australia and South Africa).

WYCW is the CW-affiliated television station for Western North Carolina and Upstate South Carolina licensed to Asheville, North Carolina.
