Marine Corps Air Station New River

Marine Corps Air Station New River is a United States Marine Corps helicopter and tilt-rotor base in Jacksonville, North Carolina, in the eastern part of the state. In 1972, the airfield was named McCutcheon Field for Brigadier General Keith B. McCutcheon, one of the fathers of Marine Corps helicopter aviation. Near Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, it shares some facilities with Camp Geiger.

Stone Bay

Stone Bay is a satellite facility of Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, in North Carolina. Based on the south side of Camp Lejeune, and is home to the headquarters of United States Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command and Lejeune's Weapons Training Battalion and Sniper School. It functions as the primary facility for weapons qualifications, having several shooting ranges: three rifle ranges, two pistol ranges, and one long sniper range.

CSS Ellis

CSS Ellis (later USS Ellis) was a gunboat in the Confederate States Navy and the United States Navy during the American Civil War. It was lost during a raid while under command of famed Navy officer Lieutenant William B. Cushing.

Camp Geiger

Camp Geiger is a United States Marine Corps base. Although not geographically connected, Camp Geiger is part of the Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune complex, and is home to the United States Marine Corps School of Infantry East for all Marines recruited through the Eastern Recruiting Region. Located off U.S. Route 17 about 10 miles south of Camp Lejeune, it shares the main gate of Marine Corps Air Station New River. It trains approximately 20,000 Marines every year.
