Alfred is an unincorporated hamlet in LaMoure County, North Dakota, United States. It was one of five towns founded by Richard Sykes. Its population is estimated at about 10 and it consists of a few houses, a licensed boarding home, a grocery store and a Protestant church, as well as grain storage bins and a boat-dock at the small lake which borders the hamlet on the northeast. Bone Hill Creek National Wildlife Refuge is a National Wildlife Refuge in North Dakota. It is managed under Kulm Wetland Management District. Bone Hill Creek National Wildlife Refuge was established by Executive Order 8112, signed on May 10, 1939 by President Franklin D. Roosevelt. The Refuge boundaries encompass 640 acres of private land. A system of management easements allows the District staff to maintain a dam on the property and restrict hunting, trapping and other harassment of wildlife.

Jud is a rural hamlet in LaMoure County, North Dakota, in the United States. The population was 72 at the 2010 census. Jud was founded in 1904 and named for county settler Judson LaMoure. It is located along unpaved 61st Street SE, 9 miles west of US Highway 281 and 25 miles south of Interstate 94 in the midst of settled farmland and open plains.
