Marshall's Hotel

Marshall's Hotel, subsequently known as the Firehole Hotel was the first public accommodations built in the Firehole River geyser basins of Yellowstone National Park and among the earliest tourist hotels in Yellowstone. The first hotel was built in 1880 by George W. Marshall (1846–1917) and his partner John B. Goff and was located just west of confluence of the Firehole River and Nez Perce Creek.

Renwick Dam

Renwick Dam (National ID # ND00054) is a dam in Akra Township, Pembina County, North Dakota, in the northeastern corner of the state. The earthen dam was completed in 1962 at a height of 49 feet and a length of 1,400 feet at its crest. It impounds the Tongue River for flood control and recreation. Both dam and reservoir are owned and operated by the Pembina County Water Resource District.

Backoo, North Dakota

Backoo is an unincorporated community in Advance Township in North Dakota's Pembina County located roughly 5 miles northwest of Cavalier. It was established in 1887 as a townsite along the Great Northern Railroad.

Cavalier Air Force Station is a United States Air Force installation in Pembina County, North Dakota, home to the 10th Space Warning Squadron of the 21st Space Wing based at Peterson Air Force Base in Colorado. The station is located approximately 5 km north and 3 km west of Mountain, about 20 km from Cavalier.

The international safeguards system is a system of treaties and inspections administered and conducted by the International Atomic Energy Agency to hinder nuclear weapons proliferation. The Safeguard Program was a United States Army anti-ballistic missile system developed during the late 1960s. Safeguard was designed to protect U.S. ICBM missile sites from counterforce attack, thus preserving the option of an unimpeded retaliatory strike.
