Ross County is a county located in the Appalachian region of the state of Ohio, United States established on August 20, 1798. According to the 2010 census, it has a population of 78,064, which is an increase of 6.4% from 73,345 in 2000. Its county seat is Chillicothe, the first and third capital of Ohio. The county is named for Federalist Senator James Ross of Pennsylvania.

Chillicothe Correctional Institution
Chillicothe Correction Institution, or CCI, is a state run medium security prison on the west bank of the Scioto River just outside Chillicothe, Ohio. It is located adjacent to Ross Correctional Institution and Hopewell Culture National Historical Park. The prison is a former military camp, named for Civil War general William Tecumseh Sherman. It later became a federal penitentiary and has housed several high profile prisoners including Charles Manson and bootlegger Junior Johnson. Mr W.D.

V.A. Memorial Stadium
V.A. Memorial Stadium is a baseball stadium located on the grounds of the Veterans Administration Hospital campus 3 miles north of Chillicothe, Ohio. It is officially designated as building 244. The stadium is the home field of the Chillicothe Paints, a collegiate wooden bat baseball team in the Prospect League. Though primarily used for baseball, V.A. Memorial Stadium has been used for softball, soccer, and other non-sporting events. The stadium holds over 3000 people.
