Marion is a city in the U.S. state of Ohio and the county seat of Marion County. The municipality is located in north-central Ohio, approximately 50 miles north of Columbus. The population was 36,837 at the 2010 census. According to the US Census 2008 estimate Ohio's Columbus–Marion–Chillicothe Combined Statistical Area has 2,002,604 people. Marion is the county's largest city and the center of the Marion Micropolitan Statistical Area (as defined by the United States Census Bureau in 2003).

Marion County, Ohio

Marion County is a county located in the state of Ohio, United States. According to the 2010 census, it has a population of 66,501, which is an increase of 0.4% from 66,217 in 2000. Its county seat is the city of Marion and is named for General Francis "The Swamp Fox" Marion, an officer in the Revolutionary War. The Marion Micropolitan Statistical Area includes all of Marion County.

Marion Catholic High School (Ohio)

Marion Catholic High School is a private, Catholic high school in Marion, Ohio. It is 1 of 11 high schools in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Columbus. The school is sometimes referred to as Marion Catholic Junior/Senior Preparatory High School. The school was established in 1879 by three sisters from the Sisters of Charity. The first class graduated in 1882 and the current building was opened in 1957. The Marion Catholic Fighting Irish participate in the Northwest Central Conference.
