Pittsburgh Junction is an unincorporated community in western Green Township, Harrison County, Ohio, United States. It was named for the industrial heritage of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and is located only 58 miles west of the much larger city. It is located at latitude 40.33194 and longitude -80.95083 with an elevation of 1,146 feet, little more than a mile from the intersection of U.S. Route 22 with State Route 151.

Franklin College (New Athens, Ohio)

Franklin College (founded 1818) was a college in New Athens, Ohio, founded by abolitionist John Walker, a Presbyterian minister. The college was called Alma college from 1818 until 1825, when the name was changed to Franklin College. The college ceased operation in 1919, and became associated with Muskingum College until 1927. The college building houses the Franklin Museum which showcases the span of the college and its history.
