2012 Oklahoma wildfires

The 2012 Oklahoma wildfires are a series of wildfires that are currently active throughout the state of Oklahoma. Since earlier in the year, a widespread drought caused many areas, specifically in the southern United States, to be exposed to wildfires. Starting in early August, the wildfires burned at least 52,000 acres, and destroyed at least 121 homes and businesses.
