Tillman County, Oklahoma

Tillman County is a county located in the U.S. state of Oklahoma. As of 2010, the population was 7,992. The county seat is Frederick. . The county was founded at the time of Oklahoma statehood in 1907, and was named for Senator Benjamin Tillman of South Carolina. It had previously been part of Comanche County, Oklahoma Territory. In 1910 and 1924 portions of Kiowa County were added to the north side of the county.

Frederick, Oklahoma

Frederick is a city in Tillman County, Oklahoma, United States. The population was 3,940 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Tillman County. This is an agriculture based community primarily with wheat, cotton, and cattle. The public school team name is the Bombers, and they play football at the Bomber Bowl. Frederick was a football powerhouse, in the 1990s, winning the class 3-A State Championship in 1993, 1994, 1995 and the class 2-A State Championship in 1996.
