McCurtain is a town in Haskell County, Oklahoma, United States. The population was 466 at the 2000 census. According to Frank Leslie's Weekly, 90 miners perished in a coal mine disaster in 1912. The number was later revised to 73, but it remains one of the worst disasters in Oklahoma history.
