Doc Wadley Stadium

Doc Wadley Stadium located in Tahlequah, Oklahoma is the home stadium of the NCAA Division II college football team "the Redmen" (now the Riverhawks) of Northeastern State University. The University also has consented to allow Doc Wadley Stadium to be used for other purposes—for example, the Tahlequah High School football team (the Tahlequah Tigers) schedules their home games there and the field is also used for marching band contests.

Briggs, Oklahoma

Briggs is a census-designated place (CDP) in Cherokee County, Oklahoma, in the United States. The population was 358 at the 2000 census. It lies east of Tahlequah, along U.S. Route 62. It is said to have been named for John Briggs, a local merchant. The Briggs Elementary School supports students through the eighth grade.

Tahlequah, Oklahoma

Tahlequah is a city in Cherokee County, Oklahoma, United States located at the foothills of the Ozark Mountains. It was founded as a capital of the original Cherokee Nation in 1838 to welcome those Cherokee forced west on the Trail of Tears. The city's population was 15,753 at the 2010 census, an increase of 8.96 percent from 14,458 at the 2000 census. It is the county seat of Cherokee County. The main campus of Northeastern State University is located in the city.
