Chemult (Amtrak station)

The Chemult Station is an Amtrak train station in Chemult, Oregon. There are currently approximately 9,000 passenger trips at the Chemult facility each year, per the Oregon Dept. of Transportation. It is not staffed and only consists of a platform structure and a warming shelter, and is the subject of much criticism as being too small. Trains must make a double stop at the station because the cement platform is so short. Amtrak Thruway Motorcoach offers connecting service to Bend, Oregon.

Beaver Marsh, Oregon

Beaver Marsh is an unincorporated locale in Klamath County, Oregon, United States. It is located on U.S. Route 97, about 6 miles south of Chemult. The Southern Pacific Cascade Line passes near the locale. Beaver Marsh was an important stagecoach stop on the Oregon Central Military Wagon Road. Beaver Marsh post office opened in 1927 and closed in 1928. The community is near the swamp of the same name.

Miller Lake (Oregon)

Miller Lake is a large natural freshwater lake in the Cascade Range in western Klamath County in the U.S. state of Oregon. The lake is in the Winema National Forest, about 14 miles west of Chemult via Miller Lake Road (Forest Road 9772). Recreation at the lake includes fishing for stocked rainbow and brown trout and kokanee. The lake has been called "one of the best brown trout fisheries in the state".
