It was opened on February 25, 1880 as an elementary school, but as of 2005, served ninth through twelfth grades. It is sometimes referred to as Chemawa High School. The Chemawa Indian School is the oldest continuously operating Native American boarding school in the United States and numbers its graduates in the thousands.

Volcanoes Stadium

Volcanoes Stadium is a stadium in Keizer, Oregon. It is primarily used for baseball, and is the home field of the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes minor league baseball team, a Class-A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants. Nicknamed "Oregon's Field of Dreams", it opened in 1997 and has a capacity of 4,250 people. It is located adjacent to Interstate 5. The volcanoes have won the northwest league championship in 1998, 2001, 2006, 2007, and 2009.
