Volcanoes Stadium

Volcanoes Stadium is a stadium in Keizer, Oregon. It is primarily used for baseball, and is the home field of the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes minor league baseball team, a Class-A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants. Nicknamed "Oregon's Field of Dreams", it opened in 1997 and has a capacity of 4,250 people. It is located adjacent to Interstate 5. The volcanoes have won the northwest league championship in 1998, 2001, 2006, 2007, and 2009.

Oregon's 5th congressional district

Oregon's 5th congressional district represents Oregon's central coast through Salem, north to the southern Portland suburbs, and east to the summit of Mount Hood. It includes Lincoln, Marion, Polk, and Tillamook counties, most of Clackamas County, and part of Benton and Multnomah counties. It gained its current portion of Multnomah County from the 3rd district in the 2002 redistricting, but also lost a significant portion of northern Clackamas County to the 3rd district.

Oregon Mission

The Oregon Mission (1834–1846) began as an effort by the Methodist Episcopal Church to convert the native Indians of the far west to Christianity. This mission, under the leadership of Jason Lee, largely failed in its initial goal, but played a significant role in the westward expansion of the United States of America. The Oregon Mission helped to define the current national boundaries between the northwestern continental United States and Canada.

Eola-Amity Hills AVA

The Eola-Amity Hills AVA is an American Viticultural Area located in Polk County and Yamhill County, Oregon. It is entirely contained within the Willamette Valley AVA, and stretches from the city of Amity in the north to Salem in the south. The Eola and Amity hills cover an area west of the Willamette River approximately 15 miles long by 6 miles wide.
