Charles and Anna Drain House

The Charles and Anna Drain House, 500 South Main Street, Drain, Oregon, was commissioned by Charles Douglas Drain (b. March 2, 1861, d. March 1, 1910) the youngest son of town founder Charles Drain. Completed in 1895, the house is a prominent example of Queen Anne style architecture in Drain. The owners selected architect George Franklin Barber's Cottage Souvenir No. 2 - design number 37. Currently, the Drain school district headquarters are at the house.

Curtin, Oregon

Curtin is an unincorporated community in Douglas County, Oregon, United States. It is on Interstate 5 and the former Southern Pacific railroad line about seven miles northeast of Drain. The community was named for Daniel Curtin, who was a local sawmill owner in the 1890s. Curtin post office was established in May 1908. Its ZIP code was 97428, but as of 2009, Curtin post office had closed out to Cottage Grove.

King Estate Winery

King Estate Winery is an organic winery located southwest of Eugene, Oregon, United States near the community of Lorane. Matt Kramer of The Oregonian considers King Estate the benchmark producer of Pinot gris in the country. While the winery also makes Pinot noir and limited amounts of Chardonnay, it is mainly credited with bringing the Pinot gris grape varietal into national consciousness. The winery was founded in 1991 by Ed King, Jr. and his son, Ed King III.
