Graniteville is a census-designated place (CDP) in Aiken County, South Carolina in the United States. The population was 2,614 at the 2010 U.S. Census. It lies along U.S. Route 1, five miles (8 km) west of Aiken in Horse Creek Valley, which originates in the nearby town of Vaucluse. Graniteville is part of the Augusta, Georgia metropolitan area, also known as the C.S.R.A. or Central Savannah River Area.

The Graniteville, South Carolina, train crash was an American rail disaster that occurred on January 6, 2005, in Graniteville, South Carolina. At roughly 2:40 am Eastern Standard Time, two Norfolk Southern trains collided near an Avondale Mills plant in Graniteville. Norfolk Southern Local Train P22 was parked on a siding near the Avondale Mills plant.

Roberto Hernandez Stadium

Roberto Hernandez Stadium is a minor league and collegiate baseball stadium, located in Aiken, South Carolina. The stadium had become the home of the Aiken Foxhounds, of the newly formed South Coast League in the spring of 2007, but the South Coast League went bankrupt and the Foxhounds not returned. It is currently the home of the University of South Carolina Aiken Pacer baseball teams.
