Van Wyck, South Carolina

Van Wyck is an unincorporated community in the panhandle of Lancaster County, South Carolina, United States. There are many ways of pronouncing the name of the community- Wick, Wack, and Wike. Families who have lived in this area since its founding in the 1880s generally pronounce it as Van Wyck- as in "there is a lot to like about Van 'Wyck. " Van Wyck is the hometown of Olympian Shawn Crawford, gold and silver medalist from the 2004 games held in Athens, Greece.

WOLS

Wols was the pseudonym of Alfred Otto Wolfgang Schulze, a German painter and photographer predominantly active in France. Though broadly unrecognized in his lifetime, he is considered a pioneer of Lyrical Abstraction, one of the most influential artists of the Tachisme movement. Catawba, South Carolina

Catawba (sometimes referred to as Catawba Ridge) is an unincorporated community in York County, South Carolina, United States along the Catawba River. The elevation of Catawba is 587 ft. and the Zip Code of Catawba is 29704. The name Catawba Ridge fell out of widespread use in 1974. The township is now simply referred to as Catawba. Only tribal elders still refer to the township as Catawba Ridge, and the US Postal Service refers to the township simply as Catawba.
