Jeffries Creek is a tributary of the Great Pee Dee River in South Carolina. Its headwaters begin just south of Hartsville, South Carolina. It flows through Darlington and Florence counties. The principal significance of this body of water is that it traverses the city of Florence, South Carolina. The creek is a blackwater river that flows from the upper to lower coastal plain in a southeasterly direction. There are several recreational uses of Jeffries Creek.

Darlington Raceway
Darlington Raceway is a race track built for NASCAR racing located near Darlington, South Carolina. It is nicknamed "The Lady in Black" and "The Track Too Tough to Tame" by many NASCAR fans and drivers and advertised as "A NASCAR Tradition. " It is of a unique, somewhat egg-shaped design, an oval with the ends of very different configurations, a condition which supposedly arose from the proximity of one end of the track to a minnow pond the owner refused to relocate.
