Lascassas, Tennessee

Lascassas (also Las Casas or Las Cassas) is an unincorporated community in Rutherford County, Tennessee, near the city of Murfreesboro. Its geographic coordinates are 35°55'49"N, 86°17'28"W. The community's namesake is Bartolomé de las Casas (1474-1566), a Spanish missionary on Christopher Columbus's third expedition who was known as the "Apostle of the Indians" in recognition of his efforts to protect the native population from slavery and abuse.

Siegel High School

Siegel High School is a high school in the Rutherford County School System in Tennessee. The Principal, Mr. Jason Bridgeman, has been the head of the administration staff since 2012. Siegel High School opened in the fall of 2003. The Siegel school complex also includes Siegel Middle School and Siegel Elementary school. The complex is situated on land gifted to Rutherford County by Richard Siegel through his will.

WMTS-FM

WMTS-FM is a student run college radio station licensed to Murfreesboro, Tennessee, USA. The station is currently owned by Middle Tennessee State University. It is the fourth attempt by students to organize a student run radio station at MTSU. While the larger, professional station WMOT employed students, others felt unrepresented. A student group led by Reza Baktar worked to achieve enough interest and authorization from the Student Government Association.

Reese Smith Jr. Field

Reese Smith Jr. Field is a baseball venue located on the campus of Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, USA. It is home to the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders baseball team, a member of the Division I Sun Belt Conference. The park was built in 1979 and has a capacity of 2,600 people. It was renovated in 1989. The field is named after Reese Smith, Jr. , a former baseball player at Middle Tennessee. The field was officially dedicated to him on April 12, 1983.
