Cumberland City, Tennessee

Cumberland City is a town in Stewart County, Tennessee. The population was 316 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Clarksville, TN — Kentucky Metropolitan Statistical Area. Cumberland City is the site of a TVA Cumberland Power Plant along the Cumberland River that provides 2.6 gigawatts of electric power to much of the area, including the cities of Clarksville in Montgomery County and Dickson in Dickson County.

Wells Creek crater

Wells Creek is an impact crater in Tennessee, United States. It is 7.46 miles (12 km) in diameter and the age is estimated to be 200 ± 100 Ma (million year old), placing it in the Jurassic or a neighboring period. The crater is exposed to the surface. The center of the crater contains some of the finest shatter cones in the world. Many have been collected and are on display around the world.

Cumberland Power Plant is a 2.6-GW pulverized coal-powered power station located at {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:36|23|29|N|87|39|17|W| |primary |name= }} in Cumberland City, Tennessee, USA, on the south bank of Lake Barkley on the Cumberland River. Owned and operated by Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA), it produces the most electricity of all plants in the TVA system.
