The Battle of Hatchie's Bridge, also known as Davis's Bridge or Matamora, was fought on October 5, 1862, in Hardeman County and McNairy County, Tennessee, as the final engagement of the Iuka–Corinth Campaign of the American Civil War. Big Hill Pond State Park is a state park in the southwestern part of McNairy County in southwestern Tennessee. The park has an area of approximately 5,000 acres (20 km²) and is forested with timberland and hardwood bottomland. Cypress Creek and the Tuscumbia River border the property.
