Discovery Center at Murfree Spring

The Discovery Center is a nature center and wetlands boardwalk near downtown Murfreesboro, Tennessee. It began as the "Discovery House", a children's museum, in 1986. During its first year of operation it had 11,000 visitors.

James E. Walker Library

The James E. Walker Library is the campus library of Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU). Opened in 1999 under university president James E. Walker, it replaced an older library in Todd Hall, now home to the Art Department. A four-story, 250,000-square-foot building, it has a capacity of 800,000 volumes. However, the MTSU library already has over 900,000 volumes. Construction on the James E. Walker Library started on the 85th anniversary of the university's founding, September 11, 1996.

WMTS-FM

WMTS-FM is a student run college radio station licensed to Murfreesboro, Tennessee, USA. The station is currently owned by Middle Tennessee State University. It is the fourth attempt by students to organize a student run radio station at MTSU. While the larger, professional station WMOT employed students, others felt unrepresented. A student group led by Reza Baktar worked to achieve enough interest and authorization from the Student Government Association.

Middle Tennessee State University

Middle Tennessee State University, commonly abbreviated as MTSU or MT, is a comprehensive coeducational public university in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Founded in 1911 as a normal school, the university is composed of seven undergraduate colleges as well as a college of graduate studies offering more than 80 majors/degree programs through over 35 departments.
