Blackman is an unincorporated community in Rutherford County, Tennessee, near the city of Murfreesboro. The community was founded in 1808 and celebrated its 200th birthday at the annual Blackman Barbecue at Blackman Middle School. Blackman is the site of three schools: Blackman High School, Blackman Middle School, and Blackman Elementary School. Blackman is located in zip codes 37128 and 37129. In 2009, the Blackman area was struck by an EF4 tornado.

Siegel High School is a high school in the Rutherford County School System in Tennessee. The Principal, Mr. Jason Bridgeman, has been the head of the administration staff since 2012. Siegel High School opened in the fall of 2003. The Siegel school complex also includes Siegel Middle School and Siegel Elementary school.
