The Little Buffalo River is an 18.1-mile-long tributary of the Buffalo River in the U.S. state of Tennessee. Via the Buffalo, Duck, Tennessee, and Ohio rivers, it reaches the Mississippi River. It rises a short distance south of Deerfield in northern Lawrence County, Tennessee, near Laurel Hill.

Lawrenceburg, Tennessee

Lawrenceburg is a city in Lawrence County, Tennessee. The City's Website puts Lawrenceburg's population at approximately 14,000. It is the county seat of Lawrence County. Lawrenceburg is located southwest of Nashville and named after War of 1812 hero James Lawrence. Lawrenceburg is the largest city on the Tennessee State lane between Memphis and Chattanooga. Over 50% of the U.S. population is located within 600 miles of Lawrenceburg.

Buffalo River (Tennessee)

The Buffalo River is the longest unimpounded river in Middle Tennessee in the United States, flowing 125 miles through the southern and western portions of that region. It is the largest tributary of the Duck River and is used for canoeing, especially in its middle section. The river is named for the Buffalo fish which was abundant when the first European settlers arrived.
