Daniel Boone High School (Tennessee)

Daniel Boone High School is located in Gray, Tennessee. It is one of two high schools in the Washington County School System. Daniel Boone High School opened in 1971-1972 to serve the students of the northern half of Washington County. Gray Fossil Site

The Gray Fossil Site is a Late Miocene-epoch assemblage of fossils located near the unincorporated town of Gray in Washington County, Northeast Tennessee, and dates from 7 to 4.5 million years BCE. The Gray Fossil Site was discovered by geologists in May 2000. They were investigating unusual clay deposits turned up during the course of a Tennessee Department of Transportation highway project to widen State Route 75 south of its intersection with Interstate 26.

Gray, Tennessee

Gray is a census-designated place (CDP) in Washington County, Tennessee, United States and a rural suburb of Johnson City. It is part of the Johnson City Metropolitan Statistical Area, which is a component of the Johnson City–Kingsport–Bristol, TN-VA Combined Statistical Area – commonly known as the "Tri-Cities" region. The population was 1,222 at the 2010 census. Gray lies just outside the junction between Interstate 81 and Interstate 26, the latter of which runs directly through the town.
