Obion River

The Obion River system is the primary surface water drainage system of northwestern Tennessee. The Obion has four major forks, the North Fork, Middle Fork, South Fork and Rutherford Fork (the last being named for the town of Rutherford). The confluences of these forks are only a few miles above the mouth of the Obion's discharge into the Mississippi River. For the majority of their lengths, the forks exist as separate streams.

Dyersburg Regional Airport is a city-owned public use airport located two nautical miles (3.7 km) south of the central business district of Dyersburg, a city in Dyer County, Tennessee, United States. It was formerly known as Dyersburg Municipal Airport. Although most U.S. airports use the same three-letter location identifier for the FAA and IATA, this airport is assigned DYR by the FAA but has no designation from the IATA.

Dyersburg Army Air Base

For the civilian airport use, see Arnold Field (Tennessee) Dyersburg Army Air Base is an inactive United States Air Force base, approximately 2 miles north of Halls, Tennessee. It was active during World War II as a training airfield. It was closed on 30 November 1945 Dyersburg AAB was the largest combat aircrew training school built during the early war years. It was the only inland B-17 Flying Fortress training base east of the Mississippi River.

Caruthersville Bridge

The Caruthersville Bridge is a cantilever bridge carrying Interstate 155 and U.S. Route 412 across the Mississippi River between Caruthersville, Missouri and Dyersburg, Tennessee. Construction of the bridge began in February 1969 and the bridge was completed in 1976. It is the only bridge to cross the Mississippi River between Cairo, Illinois and Memphis, Tennessee, though the Dorena-Hickman Ferry also crosses the Mississippi in this area.
