Obion River
The Obion River system is the primary surface water drainage system of northwestern Tennessee. The Obion has four major forks, the North Fork, Middle Fork, South Fork and Rutherford Fork (the last being named for the town of Rutherford). The confluences of these forks are only a few miles above the mouth of the Obion's discharge into the Mississippi River. For the majority of their lengths, the forks exist as separate streams.

Caruthersville Bridge
The Caruthersville Bridge is a cantilever bridge carrying Interstate 155 and U.S. Route 412 across the Mississippi River between Caruthersville, Missouri and Dyersburg, Tennessee. Construction of the bridge began in February 1969 and the bridge was completed in 1976. It is the only bridge to cross the Mississippi River between Cairo, Illinois and Memphis, Tennessee, though the Dorena-Hickman Ferry also crosses the Mississippi in this area.
