Pickett County, Tennessee

Pickett County is a county located in the U.S. state of Tennessee. As of the 2010 census, the population was 5,077. It has the smallest population of any county in Tennessee, according to the 2010 census. Its county seat is Byrdstown. The city of Byrdstown and the Kentucky town of Albany, 11 miles to the northeast, are positioned between two Army Corps of Engineers lakes: Dale Hollow Lake, mainly in Tennessee, and Lake Cumberland, in Kentucky.

Pall Mall, Tennessee

Pall Mall is a small unincorporated community in the Wolf River valley of Fentress County, Tennessee, United States. Pall Mall is located near the Kentucky-Tennessee state-line in northeastern-central Tennessee. The population was at 1,398 people according to the 2000 census. The World War I hero Alvin York was raised in Pall Mall. His son Andrew Jackson York currently lives in the town. York is commemorated at the Sgt. Alvin C.

Sgt. Alvin C. York State Historic Park

Sgt. Alvin C. York State Historic Park is a state park in Pall Mall, in the U.S. state of Tennessee. Situated along the Wolf River, the park contains the farm and gristmill once owned by decorated World War I soldier Alvin C. York (1887–1964), who lived in the Pall Mall area for most of his life.
