Morgan County Correctional Complex
Morgan County Correctional Complex is a maximum security prison in unincorporated Morgan County, near Wartburg, Tennessee, operated by the Tennessee Department of Correction. It opened in 1980. An expansion completed in 2009 increased its capacity to more than 2,400 prisoners. The prison is accredited by American Correctional Association. The current warden is David Osborne.

Lone Mountain State Forest is a state forest in Morgan County, Tennessee, located in the southeastern United States. The forest consists of 3,624 acres managed by the Tennessee Department of Agriculture. Lone Mountain is a detached ridge-like mountain rising to an elevation of 2,530 feet in the southern half of Morgan County. Although the mountain's altitude isn't particularly notable, its isolation makes it one of the 25 most prominent mountains in the state of Tennessee.
