Alvin Independent School District is a school district based in Alvin, Texas. Alvin ISD is a large suburban school district south of Houston in the communities of Alvin, Manvel, Pearland, Hillcrest, Rosharon, Iowa Colony, Liverpool, and Amsterdam. Harby Junior High

Harby Junior High is a school in the Alvin Independent School District, or AISD. Construction on the school started in 1979 and was opened to the public in 1980. It is located on 1500 Heights Road on Alvin, Texas and currently supports sixth, seventh, and eighth grade. The current mascot of Harby Junior High is the Hawk.

Alvin, Texas

Alvin is a city in the U.S. state of Texas within the Houston–Sugar Land–Baytown metropolitan area and Brazoria County. As of the 2010 U.S. Census, the city population was 24,236. Alvin's claim to fame is Baseball Hall of Famer Nolan Ryan, who moved with his family to the city in 1947 as an infant and lived there until he moved to Round Rock in 2003. The Nolan Ryan Museum is in the Nolan Ryan Foundation and Exhibit Center on the campus of Alvin Community College.
