Augusta, Texas

Augusta is an unincorporated community in Houston County, Texas, about 16 miles from Crockett. The town was named after Augusta Smith, who was the daughter of a pioneer settler. The town was settled before 1860 as a trading point for the area. A school was established in 1860 and was named the "Augusta Male and Female Academy". By 1865, the settlement had a church, cotton gins, corn mills, three stores, and an estimated population of 200.

Percilla, Texas

Percilla, also known as Evergreen, is a community in Houston County, Texas. It is located at the intesections of FM's 2022 and 228 6 miles from Grapeland. A Church and a school named Evergreen was established there in 1880, where at that time the community was known at that time until 1891, when a post office was established there, citizens requested that Evergreen be changed to Percilla after a prominent settler. By the 1930s it had a church, cemetery, school, and 4 businesses.

San Pedro, Houston County, Texas

San Pedro is an unincorporated community in Houston County, Texas. San Pedro is located along San Pedro Creek at the intersection of Farm to Market Road 2022 and Farm to Market Road 2423, 8 miles northeast of Crockett. San Pedro was first inhabited in the 1840s. The community had a post office from 1848 to 1857 and from 1858 to 1905; it also had a school from 1889 to after 1900. As of the 1990s, all that remained of San Pedro was its church, cemetery, and some dispersed houses.
