Nemo, Texas

Nemo is an unincorporated community in eastern Somervell County, Texas, United States. It is located at the intersection of Farm to Market Roads 199 and 200 and had a population of 56 in 1990. The community is part of the Granbury micropolitan area. Settlement of the area began in the mid-19th century. Originally called Johnson Station after local settler Jimmie Johnson, residents attempted to receive a post office designation under the same name.

Rainbow, Texas

Rainbow is an unincorporated community in Somervell County, Texas, United States. It is located on Farm Road 200, four miles northeast of Glen Rose. The community is part of the Granbury, Texas Micropolitan Statistical Area. The origins of the community's name date back to the 1890s. Area residents requested a post office and gathered to choose a name. During the meeting, a thunderstorm occurred, followed by a rainbow. The residents, struck with the rainbow's beauty, named their town after it.

Somervell County, Texas

Somervell County is a county located on the Edwards Plateau in the U.S. state of Texas. As of the 2010 census, its population was 8,490. Its county seat is Glen Rose. The county is named for Alexander Somervell, Secretary of War for the Republic of Texas. The county contains the Comanche Peak Nuclear Generating Station, one of two nuclear power plants in Texas. Somervell County is part of the Granbury micropolitan area.

Cleburne State Park

Cleburne State Park is a 500-acre Texas state park in Johnson County, Texas operated by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. The park includes the 116-acre, spring-fed Cedar Lake that was created by construction of an earthen dam by the Civilian Conservation Corps. The park is reached via US 67 to Park Road 21.
