Clute, Texas

Clute is a city in Brazoria County, Texas within the Houston–Sugar Land–Baytown metropolitan area. As of the 2010 U.S. Census, the city population was 11,211. The city gained some fame with the discovery of a fossilized mammoth named Asiel. There is now a restaurant/museum of the same name to honor this discovery.

Hopper Field

Hopper Field is a stadium located in Freeport, Texas on the campus of Brazosport High School. It is currently home to the high school football teams of the Brazosport Independent School District (BISD), and seats 10,478. The stadium opened in 1949. In 2004, an artificial turf known as "Momentum Turf" by Sportexe was installed, among other renovations. The stadium is also the site for BISD commencement ceremonies.

Velasco, Texas

Velasco was a town in Texas, United States, that was later annexed by the city of Freeport. Founded in 1831, Velasco is situated on the east side of the Brazos River in southeast Texas. It is sixteen miles south of Angleton, Texas, and four miles from the Gulf of Mexico. The town's early history is closely tied with the Battle of Velasco and the Texas Revolution. Velasco was an important entry point for American settlers in Texas.
