Hall County, Texas
Hall County is a county located in the U.S. state of Texas. As of the 2010 census, the population is 3,353. Its county seat is Memphis. Hall County is named for Warren D. C. Hall, a secretary of war for the Republic of Texas. The town of Turkey in Hall County is considered the home town of the late Western Swing performer Bob Wills. Hemigrapsus estellinensis
Hemigrapsus estellinensis is an extinct species of crab, formerly endemic to the Texas Panhandle. It was discovered by Gordon C. Creel in 1962 and was probably already extinct before his description was published in 1964, after the Estelline Salt Springs where it lived were contained by the United States Army. H. estellinensis is closely related to species from the Pacific Ocean such as Hemigrapsus oregonensis, but lived 500 mi inland in a hypersaline spring.
