Allen Ranch
The Allen Ranch, or Sam Allen Ranch, was one of the first and longest running ranches in the history of the state of Texas in the United States. The ranch was started a few years after the Texas Revolution in what is now southeast Houston and Pasadena. The ranch itself extended from Clear Lake to Harrisburg (in modern east Houston). Pasadena Veterans Memorial Stadium is an 16,800-capacity stadium in Pasadena, Texas owned by the Pasadena ISD. Pasadena ISD's Veterans' Stadium opened in 1965 and can hold more than 16,000 fans. Originally named Pasadena Memorial Stadium, the district's Board of Trustees voted to change the name of the stadium in 2006 to honor those armed forces personnel who have sacrificed for our country.
