Lake Austin

Lake Austin is a water reservoir on the Colorado River in Austin, Texas in the United States. The reservoir was formed in 1939 by the construction of Tom Miller Dam by the Lower Colorado River Authority. Lake Austin is one of the seven Highland Lakes created by the Lower Colorado River Authority, and is used for flood control, electrical power generation, and recreation. Loop 360 spans the lake at the Pennybacker Bridge.

KTBC

KTBC, channel 7, is the Fox owned-and-operated television station in Austin, Texas. Studios are located in downtown Austin at the corner of 10th and Brazos Streets (a block away from the Texas State Capitol Building), and it transmits from a 338.9 meter tall tower on Mount Larson. Located separately from most other station transmitters at the nearby West Austin Antenna Farm, KTBC shares this transmitter with its former radio partner KLBJ-FM.

KLBJ-FM

KLBJ-FM is a classic rock music radio station serving the Austin, Texas area, broadcasting at 93.7 MHz from its broadcast tower on Austin's Mount Larson. The station was owned by the Lyndon B. Johnson family until July 1, 2003, at which time it was sold to Emmis Communications. The station also holds an annual fishing tournament each year in Jonestown, Texas. For HD Radio listeners, blues music can also be heard on 93.7 HD-2.

Tom Miller Dam

Tom Miller Dam is a dam located on the Colorado River within the city limits of Austin, Texas, USA. It is one of several dams constructed by the City of Austin for the purpose of flood control and for generating hydroelectric power. Named for Robert Thomas Miller, a former Mayor of Austin, the dam forms Lake Austin, one of the Texas Highland Lakes.

KEYE-TV

KEYE-TV is the CBS-affiliated television station for Central Texas that is licensed to Austin. It broadcasts a high definition digital signal on UHF channel 43 from a transmitter on Waymaker Way on the northwest side of Austin. The station can also be seen on Time Warner Cable and Grande Communications channel 5. There is a high definition feed offered on Time Warner Cable digital channel 1531 and Grande Communications digital channel 805.
