Mexican Hat, Utah
Mexican Hat is a census-designated place (CDP) on the San Juan River in south-central San Juan County, Utah, United States. It is on U.S. Route 163 just 3 miles south of the junction with State Route 261, and is just outside the northern boundary of both the Navajo Nation and Monument Valley. With a total population of 88 at the 2000 census, the community saw a significant decrease from the 1990 figure of 259.

Honaker Trail
The Honaker Trail is a hiking trail located near Goosenecks State Park in southeastern Utah. Built in the late 1890s and early 1900s as a supply route for gold prospectors, the 2.5-mile trail connects the deeply entrenched San Juan River with the canyon rim over 1,200 feet above. Popular with geologists, the trail serves as the type locality for the Pennsylvanian Honaker Trail Formation.

Valley of the Gods
Valley of the Gods is a scenic sandstone valley near Mexican Hat in San Juan County, southeastern Utah. It is north of Monument Valley across the San Juan River, and has similar rock formations. It is similar to Monument Valley, albeit on a smaller scale, with tall, red, isolated mesas and cliffs standing above the level valley floor, remnants of an ancient landscape.

Muley Point
Muley Point is a remote, scenic overlook in southern Utah near Mexican Hat. The view provides panoramic vistas of the desert landscape of southern Utah (Valley of the Gods) and northern Arizona. Monument Valley is visible in the distance while the San Juan River cuts into the canyon below. Located at the end of a five mile gravel road off Rte. 261, Muley Point is 25 miles (40 km) south of Natural Bridges National Monument and 20 miles (32 km) north of the Arizona border.
