Carbon Power Plant
Carbon Power Plant, also known as Castle Gate Power Plant is a small, 190-MWe coal-fired power station in Utah, USA operated by PacifiCorp. Its units 1 and 2, rated at 75 and 113.6 MWe, were launched into service in 1954 and 1957. The plant is located at {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:39|43|38|N|110|51|51|W| |primary |name= }}, about 3 km north of Helper, Utah, on the east bank of Price River.

Royal, Utah
Royal is a ghost town that existed in the early 1900s as a small coal mining town in Carbon County, Utah, United States. Originally called Bear Canyon, the town was renamed Cameron, Rolapp, and finally Royal, changing names each time a new owner took over. All that remains of Royal today are some stone walls, a couple of the mines, and a miner's dwelling. These remnants can be seen in Price Canyon. The historian and author Helen Z. Papanikolas was born here in 1917.

Helper (Amtrak station)
The Helper Amtrak station is a train station in Helper, Utah, United States served by Amtrak, the national railroad passenger system. It is served daily by the California Zephyr. The station was originally built by the Denver and Rio Grande Western Railroad in 1881, and is currently owned by the Union Pacific Railroad.

Castle Gate Mine disaster
The Castle Gate mine disaster occurred on March 8, 1924, in a coal mine near the town of Castle Gate, Utah (now dismantled), located approximately 90 miles southeast of Salt Lake City. All of the 171 men working in the mine were killed in the series of three violent explosions. One worker, the leader of the rescue crew, died from carbon monoxide inhalation while attempting to reach the victims shortly after the explosion.
